Semmozhi Spire

Coimbatore, India

Located within Coimbatore’s Semmozhi Poonga, this project reimagines the conventional amphitheater as a vertical architectural intervention. A 50m observation tower emerges as a “living spire” within the urban forest, rising through the tree canopy to frame evolving panoramic views. Organized around a central core, the design enables open, flexible spatial experiences. Its parametric facade, inspired by native leaf venation, integrates environmental performance through shading and passive cooling.
